Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Shift Work

Role Overview: We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join the team. The role involves providing day-to-day care and support to children and young people, while also taking on additional responsibilities to assist in the management and leadership of the residential home under the guidance of the Registered Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people in accordance with their care & behaviour plans.

  • Lead and mentor a team of residential support workers, providing guidance and support.

  • Assist the Registered & Deputy Manager in the overall management of the home, ensuring compliance with regulations and standards.

  • Help develop and implement care plans and risk assessments tailored to individual needs.

  • Promote a positive and nurturing environment where children can feel safe and supported.

  • Maintain accurate records and documentation, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to policies.

  • Liaise effectively with families, external agencies, and professionals involved in the care of children.

  • Participate in staff training, development, and recruitment activities as required.

Requirements:

  • 18 months experience in a residential childcare setting

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent qualification) or studying towards

  • Strong understanding of safeguarding practices and child protection procedures.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-in shifts.

  • Full UK driving license
