Job Role: Senior Residential Support Worker

Location: Lytham St. Annes, Lancashire
Salary: £14.80ph - £15.80ph (DOE) + £60 per sleep (£35,616-£37,536pa)
Hours: 1 day on (plus sleep), 2 days off - full time

Responsibilities of Senior Residential Support Worker
Day-to-Day Support of the Children & Young People
Guiding Residential Support Workers & Senior Residential Support Workers
Deputise to the Deputy & Registered Manager
Assist in the development of life skills, emotional resilience, and social competencies in children.
Work collaboratively with therapists, educators, and social workers.
Address challenging behaviours and conflicts using effective de-escalation techniques.
Maintain detailed documentation of observations, progress, incidents, and other relevant information.
Act as an advocate for the children, ensuring their voices are heard and their rights are protected.
Keep regular contact with the children’s families or guardians, providing updates on their progress, challenges, and achievements.
Requirements of Senior Residential Support Worker
Level 3 in Children's Residential Care or Children & Young People's Workforce (essential)
18 Months Experience in a Children's Residential Home (essential)
Full UK Driving Licence (essential)
DBS on the update system (desirable)
Characteristics & Knowledge of Senior Residential Support Worker
Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
Empathy, patience, and the ability to connect with and understand the needs of children.
Crisis management and conflict resolution skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
