Salary: £30,480.00 to £36,000.00pa including sleeps (dependent on experience & qualification)

Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent, Shift Work

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Residential Support Worker or Deputy Manager to join the team. The successful candidate will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day management of the home, ensuring the highest standards of care are maintained. This is a crucial role that requires strong leadership skills, a deep commitment to child welfare, and the ability to inspire and motivate a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Registered Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the children’s home.

  • Provide leadership, support, and supervision to the staff team.

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and policies.

  • Develop and implement individualised care & behaviour plans for children and young people.

  • Competition of Reg 44 & 45.

  • Promote a safe, nurturing, and positive environment for children.

  • Manage and monitor staff performance, providing training and development as needed.

  • Participate in safer recruitment and selection of staff.

  • Work in partnership with external agencies, professionals, and families to achieve the best outcomes for children.

  • Handle administrative tasks and maintain accurate records and documentation.

Requirements:

  • 2yrs experience (minimum) in a residential childcare setting, including supervisory experience.

  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent.

  • A willingness to study towards Level 5 in Leadership & Management.

  • Strong knowledge of child protection and safeguarding practices.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.

  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and on-call duties.

  • A passion for supporting and advocating for children and young people.

  • Full UK Driving Licence
